I spent some time in the last couple weeks to make some cards for the Wish RAK January Card Challenge at SCS.  I love doing black and white cards.  That is where the inspiration also for the header on my blog.  The challenge was to create a black and white card with a punch of color with an embellishment only.  I made a couple cards for this challenge.  My challenge is finding the time to really spend on the design of the card… once the card is designed it is easy to put some together.  Anyways, here are the cards that I came up with.  What do you think?

 

 For this card I used a stamp set that I got from The Angel Company… I love this set because it came with lots of gifts and circle type stamps.  The saying stamp that comes with this set is “A gift for you.”  I just markered the “for you” and stamped it on a rounded tab punch.  I used my cuttlebug that I got from my husband for Christmas to emboss the white paper… I love my cuttlebug!  It adds a whole new dimension to cards and anything I make… now I just want more folders and dyes.  Someday…

 I went with the same concept for this card, just different colors and paper.  I love the fiber string stuff, but haven’t used it yet.  I was excited to get this from Melissa at SCS for a Hostess Appreciation Swap.  The “Hello” stamp is a part of a set from Stampin Up.  This is another set with lots of circles… I really like my circles.
