Birthday Card

This is another card I created for my monthly card swap. It seems this is all I’ve been working on lately. That is the truth! I’ve been so busy getting things done around the house and out in the yard that I’ve not had a lot of time for my crafting. Anyways, I really enjoy using Bella stamps. I love them. I love using watercolor paints! The “A gift for you” is a part of the Butterfly kisses set from Papertrey.

I love this Elzybells image! It looks so peaceful and a place I would love to be in the middle of a stressful day. I received this DP and image from Mellisa at Splitcoast Stampers for a Monthly swap. I don’t have this image so it was so fun to try.

A Summer’s Day…

I’m so looking forward to summer! It is my favorite season. We are getting warmer here in Michigan, but not there yet. I’m going to be able to do some camping over Memorial day weekend, so I’m praying for great weather!

This card I did for a monthly swap that I’m involved in at Splitcoast Stampers. I stamped the dog image and found the beautiful designer paper which I thought was perfect for the image. :-) I watercolored the image and stamped the sentiment on the designer paper. Then i just added a little homeade grass and called it good.

Embossing Challenge

So, I’ve made so many things, but have so little time to get them up on my blog. I thought I would quick throw one up there for now. This is a card I made for an embossing challenge at Angel Wings & Crafty Things. I tried a new technique on this one. I stamped then entire House Mouse stamped paper with the Versa Mark, then used clear embossing powder over the top. I repeated this a couple times to get it to be very glossy. I really liked the way it turned out. You can’t really tell that it is embossed in this picture. I had a hard time capturing that. Have a great weekend!

I’ve made so many more cards since my last post, just haven’t had time to take pictures and post them! They are coming really soon! Here is one that I did a couple weeks ago… the picture isn’t that great. I love this stamp from Stampin Up. It is a wheel. I don’t own the stamp. I got the image as a RAK in Wish RAK on Splitcoast. Very Fun!

Is it Spring Yet?

So it has been raining all day… but that is ok since I’ve been in bed all day. I stayed home from work today because all weekend I’ve been not getting much sleep because of coughing and a sore throat. I didn’t sleep well last night either… so I stayed home and slept all day. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel much more rested and ready for work. Anyways, I’m soooo ready for spring! I’m so glad it rained all day and not snowed

Here are some cards to share with you today. I made the Happy Everything card at a Stampin Up party. We used an indiviudally wrapped lifesaver as the center of the flower. This is the “Pick a Petal” stamp set. (Real Red paper)

This card is another card that I made at my stamping get together. This was another challenge that one of the organizers provided. She gave us different colors of paper and inks as well as the Designer Paper. We had to create a card that was different than a normal 4.25×5.5 card. I made a sqaure card for this challenge. This uses the “Wild About You” stamp set from SU. (I think that is the set name) I love that set and was excited to try it out

A Stamped Journal

This was my project for my stamping weekend… I had all the supplies ready for everyone to stamp and create. I like making things that are different than cards sometimes. The Flourishes are from Autumn Leaves. I love using the flourishes stamps!

So, a whole week has gone by… my goal was to post a new card on here like every other day since I have so many to post, but I just ran out of time to do that this week. So, I will post a few cards today. The first card was a card that I made last weekend for a challenge at my stamping event. I got a package of papers, ribbon, and image. I had to use a little bit of everything in the package for the challenge… this is what I came up with.

This next card is a card that I made during my free stamping time… I love house mouse stamps.

You know…. I came away with all these beautiful cards from this stamping event… now I just have to send them all. I’ve been so bad lately about not sending them out. That is something that I will be working on in the next few weeks. My goal it to send at least one card out each week…. hopefully more than that! Well, I think I will leave it there…. I have plenty more cards to post this week. Have a great day!

I had such a blast this past weekend. I spent the weekend in Frankenmuth, MI area with about 50 other women stamping and doing challenges. It was so much fun! I got sooooo many cards from the weekend. We had a giant swap, then we had a bunch of challenges, and projects to do. Then we also had some free stamping time. I won’t be able to share all the things that I’ve done… it would take up way too much of your time. I will share more and more as the weeks go on.

Here is one I will share with you tonight. This card I made for the GIANT swap. I had to make 52 of these cards I got this idea from Melissa Craig at Stamp It, Scrap It, Share It. (Melissa, doesn’t this card look familiar??) I loved her card so much that I had to borrow her design… I just made it my own with my stamps and colors :-). The stamps are papertrey Butterfly Kisses. The card is folded a little differently which adds to the interesting design! Thanks Melissa for the inspiration
